Winter
It's in the middle of winter season and temperature outside is around 0℃, so much different from Malaysia which is about 35℃ almost whole year round!I can literally blow mist out of my mouth! I had to wear 4 layers of clothes!
It snowed on 6 Jan just outside my apartment! It is my first sight of snow flakes falling; kinda like a light drizzle of rain.
It snowed this morning again, this time more heavily and for the whole day! The roofs, cars, trees and ground have all turned white!

In front of my apartment at 12 noon

....4.00pm

....9.00pm (looks bright because the snow reflects the streetlights)

Back of my apartment

My car having a cold pack

Erin making something from snow

And the final result - "kakigori" (abc/ ais batu campur/ ice kacang)!!!
Footnote: 24/1/06. After it stopped snowing for 3 days, some of the snow still have not melted yet! Amazing! It's like living in a freezer!!!

Isn't it nice just after the snow fall? And when it turns slushy, it's so messy. Have you tried driving in the snow or black ice? The side streets turns into ice rinks for several days every year.
Suanne was asking how on earth did you manage to pile up the ice kacang so high? :-)
Just after snow fall, it is wonderful as the snow is still soft but on the next day, the snow starts to harden, that's when walking or driving is difficult. Driving over icy roads are thrilling, especially when you hit the brakes, the car starts to spin! Some people put chains on the wheels when driving on icy roads.
ice kacang ala Petronas Twin Towers?? Very easy... just compress the ice into a vase-like container, then turn upside down and lay it over a bowl, remove vase slowly from ice and voila!!!
